Youth Active Plus - Paths to the future!

Johann Daniel Lawaetz-Stiftung
Project term: 01.01.2021 - 31.12.2024
“Youth Active Plus - Paths to the future!” supports young adults with multiple problems who are not covered by the regular system and are usually lacking employment, training, and qualification (known as NEETs – not in education, employment, or training). It helps participants develop prospects for the future by actively reaching out and supporting them and offering training and employment opportunities. The project’s services are coordinated by the Johann Daniel Lawaetz Foundation and are offered in 30 districts throughout the city in cooperation with ten partners. All participants work closely with existing youth welfare institutions such as youth welfare services and the Youth Employment Agency.
A key aspect of this project is the successful interlinking of youth welfare and employment market policies to provide long-term training and employment prospects for vulnerable young adults who are difficult to reach. The project supports the Framework Integrated Urban Development Hamburg (RISE) and contributes to implementing the Youth Employment Agency (Jugendberufsagentur) Hamburg.
