Sustainable manufacturing

The project “Sustainable manufacturing” set up by IN VIA e.V. promotes the inclusion of groups in receipt of SGB II benefits using the funding instrument set out in Section 16i SGB II (“Participation in the labour market”). Participants are given the prospect of finding employment subject to social security contributions and becoming more employable in the general labour market over the longer term.

Participants work in an upcycling workshop in the district of Eimsbüttel. The workshop helps to improve local services for disadvantaged people. As part of the project, funded jobs are offered in the following areas: Processing and recycling of waste material and everyday objects, transportation, storage, and sales (e.g. in an online shop).
