School Mentors for Strong Schools

The ‘School mentors for strong schools’ project is aimed at pupils in RISE areas and supports them in their educational opportunities.
To this end, the KWB team trains pupils from the 3rd grade onwards to become mentors in order to support fellow pupils and promote non-discriminatory interaction. Parents can be trained as mentors to better understand the school system and help other families. The project aims to improve equal opportunities, strengthen democratic values in schools and promote basic school education in Hamburg through volunteering.
The project supports the integration concept ‘We, the city of Hamburg!’ and the Framework Integrated Urban Development Hamburg (RISE).
