Between 2014 and 2020 Hamburg will have some 20 million euros of ESF funding at its disposal for the purpose of “promoting social inclusion, combating poverty and any discrimination”.
The ESF projects will make a contribution towards the implementation of Hamburg’s integration concept; the gender equality policy framework programme and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
• “Opportunities at the Safe Haven Hamburg” aims to provide refugees and asylum seekers with further qualifications to strengthen their chances of obtaining vocational training places or employment.
• The Coalition for action “InclusiveWork” is a project which supports people with disabilities on their way to obtaining permanent employment.
• “ActiveYouth +” offers specific educational opportunities and work experience programmes to assist and motivate young people who do not have a vocational education or employment.
