The project “Vocational training: dual&inclusive (d&i)” provides support for adolescents and young adults with disabilities or special needs. To achieve successful, long-term integration into the labour market such individuals require equal participation in the dual training offerings which accompany the transition from school to work.

The project ensures that disabilities and possible special educational needs are identified; assistance and support are provided and compensation for disadvantages is recognised. To this end, the project provides school teams with professional expertise, advice and qualifications.

“dual&inclusive (d&i)" is making a valuable contribution to Hamburg’s action plan to implement the UN Disability Rights Convention, supporting the Senate’s objective of ensuring that the city’s education system fulfils its mandate to include young people with disabilities at all levels.
