For a social job market - ideas for Hamburg
einfal gGmbH
Project term: 01.01.2025 - 31.12.2028

The ‘For a social job market - ideas for Hamburg’ project run by einfal gGmbH promotes the participation of long-term unemployed people in receipt of SGB II benefits. Using the funding instrument ‘Participation in the labour market’ ( § 16i SGB II), the people are employed subject to social insurance contributions and their daily structure and employability are strengthened. The aim is to give them the prospect of moving into unsubsidised employment and to move closer to the general labour market in the long term. The project also offers even lower-threshold employment opportunities on an hourly basis as an initial low-threshold introduction to further support services offered by the Jobcenter (Tagwerk). In addition, the project supports participation in the context of non-profit work.
The deployment of employees in several social department stores (‘Zweitwert’, ‘Spenda Bel St. Pauli’ and ‘Spenda Bel Billstedt’), ‘Café Lenz’ and ‘Daheim&Unterwegs’ (household-related services and the neighbourhood café ‘Café im Park’ in Lißy-Haus) strengthens social support services for disadvantaged and low-income groups, particularly in the Eimsbüttel district.
The project supports Hamburg's strategy to secure a skilled workforce and the Joint Labour Market Programme.
