FIT for employment
FIT gGmbH Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Integration und inklusiven Teilhabe
Project term: 01.01.2025 - 31.12.2028

The ‘FIT for employment’ project run by FIT gGmbH promotes the participation of long-term unemployed persons in receipt of SGB II benefits. By utilising the funding instrument ‘Integration of the long-term unemployed’ ( § 16e SGB II), the individuals are employed subject to social insurance contributions and their daily structure and employability are strengthened. The aim is to give them the prospect of moving into unsubsidised employment and to move closer to the general labour market in the long term. The employment takes place in various areas of work (e.g. crafts or green maintenance).
The project also supports young refugees (aged 18 to 25) by preparing them for the German labour market through socio-cultural advice, company-based activation and training. This should enable them to quickly and sustainably enter work or training as soon as the legal possibilities are available.
The project supports Hamburg's strategy to secure a skilled workforce and the Joint Labour Market Programme.
