your way: make it in Hamburg

‘your way: make it in Hamburg’ supports Hamburg-based companies in their efforts to recruit skilled foreign workers from abroad. Students and graduates of selected degree programmes and skilled foreign workers who have recently relocated to Hamburg are offered individual advice, coaching and seminars with the aim of assisting them to gain a foothold on Hamburg’s employment market. ‘your way: make it in Hamburg‘ thus offers services which complement those offered by the Hamburg Welcome Center (HWC). In addition to this, the project helps individuals seeking protection as well as tolerated and recognized refugees who have gained professional qualifications in their home countries to integrate into Hamburg’s employment market. These refugees are offered the opportunity to take advantage of the project’s advisory services at ‘work and integration for refugees – W.I.R’ sites. Over and above this, ‘your way: make it in Hamburg’ provides a range of programmes to obtain further qualifications which is tailored to refugees’ needs. These services supplement existing measures, thus reinforcing Hamburg’s comprehensive culture of welcoming immigrants.
