The ‘care for care. Qualification in nursing care’ project trains and retrains auxiliary staff as well as trained assistants and specialists in nursing care. This enables participants to secure future employment in the growing care sector. In addition, the range of specialised further and advanced training courses is intended to help nursing staff remain in the profession in the long term. Unskilled carers are given easier access to training in the care sector through a vocational preparation programme. Finally, the project offers a competence centre as a point of contact for all those interested in work, training and further training in Hamburg's care sector who require advice and support.
The project contributes to reducing the shortage of skilled workers in the health and care sector, supports Hamburg's strategy to secure a skilled workforce and contributes to the Hamburg 2030 demographic concept and the framework planning of the care supply structure until 2026.
