The ‘BasicTrust’ project is aimed at low-literacy people in Hamburg and aims to strengthen their participation in education as well as their social and professional skills.
The aim of the project is to increase participation in further education programmes, particularly in the areas of basic education and literacy, in order to promote educational participation and the social and professional skills of participants. In the areas of daycare centres, schools and social spaces, participants are addressed directly, existing offers are made known and access is facilitated. If suitable programmes are lacking, these are actively developed. In addition, staff in the respective social areas - such as daycare centres, schools and various local institutions (e.g. advice centres, clubs, bookshops, administration) - are sensitised and involved in the project.
The project supports Hamburg's strategy to secure a skilled workforce and the integration concept ‘We, the city of Hamburg!’.
